The VP of Business Development Manager for the Mortgage JVs will be responsible for sourcing, vetting, nurturing, and closing joint ventures and preferred partnerships that significantly grow our revenue and reach. You’ll work closely with the EVP of Joint Ventures, Marketing, and other key executives to build the long-term value of Stearns Lending. You will play a significant role in shaping our partnerships strategy, business model, and product development roadmap based on insights you bring back from business development activities and prospective partners. This position is a remote role and reports directly to the EVP of Joint Ventures.

A Producing Sales Manager is one of the most important roles in our business. You’ll be relied upon to process potential homebuyers’ paperwork and background information, determine loan amounts and the terms of a mortgage agreement, and partner with the sales staff to manage timelines for closing

Job Summary:

Establish and maintain relationships with individuals, realtors and home builders through direct and indirect contact, outside of primary office location. Explain the Stearns Lending, LLC Value Proposition and Products to potential partners and clients. Secure and maintain partnerships with partners and clients through ongoing contact and customer support. Assist clients in securing a loan by explaining process, lending requirements, available products. Take loan application per company and lending requirements.

Desired Skills, Experience, or Education:

• 2+ years residential mortgage lending experience, including a high proficiency in FHA, VA and conforming purchase/refinance products
• Ability to generate and sustain business partner relationships with realtors, builders, financial planner and other lead sources.
• Maintain production reports for leads and sales contact, pipeline and other pertinent sales activity reports.
• Ability to conduct business effectively in person
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; both verbally and in writing, across a variety of audiences
• Ability to obtain and maintain individual state license(s), and SAFE act compliance
• Understanding of Federal Regulations governing Real Estate Lending
